Allotment 21
The Allotment 21 Group is a small, friendly, relaxed and informal group. We share the tasks and benefits of growing a range of fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers on our site. Members can attend at times to suit themselves, with other members or on their own as they prefer. Members suggest, at the start of season, what they wish to grow and a growing plot of the site is agreed. Weeding, hoeing, watering and general maintenance is shared as is the eventual produce. The site is now quite well developed with our own water supply, a summer house, a bench and chairs and compost sites. There is nearby time-limited “on-street” parking and paid parking during the day and free parking in the evening. The site is regularly maintained and generally flat but may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
The Group is full at the moment. Interested people can visit the allotment and register an interest in joining when possible. Our group will support people if they wish to start their own allotment group.
