The sun was shining and the ice cream was flowing. 53 people filled Blakes coach, and despite the traffic, we arrived at Paignton with 10 minutes to spare thanks to our driver. The steam train was on time, and the cruise up the river Dart was very enjoyable. 53 people came back by bus which is always a plus. Now I have to put suncream on my head - what a hot day!
Coffee Mornings are generally held on the first Monday of each month at 10:30am (if the first Monday is a Bank Holiday there will be no Coffee Morning for that month), but due to the number of Bank Holidays in 2024 we have been able to rearrange our Coffee Mornings to the 4th Monday. The entry fee is a modest £1, which includes coffee or tea, biscuits and a raffle ticket.
