Practical Gardening

The group consists of members who like to exchange gardening tips and ideas. We invite anyone who is interested in gardening whose knowledge is limited or more informed. We meet on a monthly basis at the Annexe, Fremington Parish Hall,

It is a very friendly group and refreshments and biscuits are provided. We try to provide interesting garden related visits and speakers from time to time, these may incur a cost.

Members often bring in surplus plants, seeds, cuttings and produce, we leave it open for any member who wishes to buy any of the donated items to put the money into our donation box This money is helps towards paying for the hall, refreshments, speakers and visits.

Select the Group Email Link above to contact the group Leader by email. Please fill in all your details and type of enquiry. The group leader will contact you on receiving your form.

Practical Gardening Group

The practical Gardening Group visited the North Devon Hospice gardens ont Thursday 14th May and the gentleman that gave us a tour of the gardens took us to see the Almond tree planted in memory of David Baker our U3a Chairman from 2020 -2025.

I thought some of our members who have fond memories of David would like to see a photo of it.

If anyone wishes to go and see it, it is down in the bottom orchard past the pond in a meadow area, where they are building a new gazebo.
